Placing Holds on New Materials
NEW library materials in OCPL will only be available for pick-up at the library that owns that material
After six weeks, all new items will be available to travel to other libraries to fill holds
You can still place holds on another library's new items, but you will have to go to that library to pick them up
This means new materials purchased by your library are more likely to be available on your library's shelves or to fill holds picked up at that library
For new items not owned by your chosen pick-up library, holds will remain in the queue and will be filled six weeks from the date the new item began circulating
Change Your PIN
Click the My Account tab and log in with your Library barcode and PIN;
Click My Record on the My Account submenu;
Click Change PIN on the bottom left of your screen.
Enter old PIN and new PIN. New PIN should be four(4) numbers, not letters. This will enable you to use the Overdrive Digital Catalog and the library’s online databases.
If you do not have a PINor cannot remember your PIN, please call the Central Library at 435-1900 or visit your local library for assistance.
Be sure to click Log Out at the top left of the screen to end your session and close out of your account.
Previous Catalog Bibliographic Lists
If you had bibliographic lists stored in the previous Dynix catalog and would like them back, please e-mail us at reference@onlib.org and include your name, library card number and e-mail address. We were unable to transfer lists to the new version of the catalog, however we can retrieve them and send the list back to you. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please Note: If your lists are meant to be eventual hold requests, you can store them as suspended hold requests in the new system. There is no way to move them from a bibliographic list to a hold without entering them as hold in the new catalog system. You will have to give a date to activate them, but this can be continually extended until you are ready to place the hold.
If you have additional questions or comments about the OCPL catalog, please e-mail: reference@onlib.org
