For Immediate Release:  Syracuse, NY – Do you have a digital camera, but aren’t quite sure how to use it?  No worries!  Paine Branch Library has a five part series workshop just for you!

Jeff Berman, an experienced computer and digital photo teacher, will teach a workshop series on using your digital camera.  The course is geared towards people who know only the basics about their digital camera.  Participants will learn about important accessories and how to take blur free, well-exposed pictures of subjects at varying distances and in different lighting conditions.  Jeff will also explain how to transfer pictures onto a computer, upload pictures you want to share or print to an online photo gallery, and how to back up pictures onto a blank disc.

Classes will take place at the Paine Branch Library, located at 113 Nichols Ave in Eastwood off of James Street.  Registration is required.  Please call 435-5442 to enroll in the series.  Classes take place on the following dates:

Wednesday, August 20 at 1:00 pm
Wednesday, September 3 at 1:00 pm
Wednesday, September 17 at 1:00 pm
Wednesday, October 1 at 1:00 pm
Wednesday, October 15 at 1:00 pm

The program is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grant.  The course is free and open to the public.  Contact Paine Branch Library for program-related questions.
