The Foundation Center
An easy-to-use gateway to a wide variety of resources, the Foundation Center's
web site provides grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers and
the general public with access to information about grants, foundations, corporate
giving, proposal writing, training, news, links to numerous related sites,
an online librarian and the location of the Foundation Center's Cooperating
Collections (including Onondaga County Public Library's Regional Grants Collection
located at the Central Library).
Council on Foundations
Foundation basics, electronic version of Foundation News & Commentary
Magazine, conference publications, links to other nonprofit sites, as
well as to homepages of private foundations and corporations.
Grants and Related Resources
From Michigan State University, a very inclusive site which features RFPs,
links to periodicals and fundraising tools. Includes online resources especially
for academic and elementary/secondary education fundraisers.
New York Regional Association of Grantmakers
The New York Regional Association of Grantmakers, a membership organization of private grantmakers in the New York City tri-state area, works to improve and enhance the practice of philanthropy and to encourage leadership for collaborative action. NYRAG's Web site offers information about the association’s Peer Networks program, legislative outreach and monitoring, and information about City Connect, an initiative to foster coalition-building among city government, private funders, and the nonprofit community.

Focuses on access to the Department of Health and Human Service's hundreds

National Endowment for the Arts
Details the federal NEA grant programs, application guidelines, news, legislation
and NEA's partnerships with other agencies.
National Endowment for the Humanities
A Federal agency that funds learning and research projects in history, literature,
philosophy and other areas of the humanities..
New York State Council on the Arts
Describes the various grant programs that are funded by the agency to provide
"support for activities of nonprofit arts and cultural organizations."

A private, family foundation, located in Skaneateles, NY. The foundation focuses its grantmaking in the areas of healthcare, higher education, family planning and human services.
Central New York Community Foundation
Includes information on applying for grants, links to grant recipient agencies
and more from our local community foundation, which manages hundreds of charitable
funds for grants in Onondaga and Madison counties.
John Ben Snow Foundation, Inc.
A private foundation whose geographic focus is primarily Central and Northern New York State. Historically, the Foundation has made grants in the following program areas: Arts and Culture, Community Development, Education, Environment, Historic Preservation, and Journalism.

of foundations. Registration is required for retrieving basic information. There is a fee for accessing some of the archival information.
